Travelling to EPFL for the Early Career Researcher Workshop

For those attending the Early Career Workshop workshop at EPFL in Lausanne, navigating from Lausanne station to EPFL is straightforward. Take Metro 2 from Lausanne station in the direction of Croisettes, alighting at Flon. At Flon, transfer to Metro 1, in the direction of Renens. Your stop will be EPFL. Further instructions to navigate the EPFL campus will be provided closer to the workshop date, as navigating the labyrinthine campus can be a unique experience.

From Lausanne Central Train Station to EPFL: Take Metro 2 from Lausanne Central Train Station in the direction of Croisettes, alighting at Lausanne Flon. At Flon, transfer to Metro 1, in the direction of Renens. Your stop will be EPFL.

From Geneva Airport: Take a train in the direction of Brig, alighting at Aigle. Trains depart hourly, and the scenic journey takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Once at Aigle, board another train bound for Les Diablerets, completing your picturesque voyage into the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Travelling to Les Diablerets

Two bus transfers will be organized to Les Diablerets on January 19, one from the EPFL Campus and one from Geneva Airport.

A return bus transfer from Les Diablerets to Geneva Airport will be organized for January 23.

If you are unable to make these transfers, getting to Les Diablerets is relatively easy:

From Geneva Airport: Take a train in the direction of Brig, alighting at Aigle. Once at Aigle, board another train bound for Les Diablerets.

From Zurich Airport: Your route to Les Diablerets will include a few more connections. Begin by catching a train to Zurich Hauptbahnhof (HB), Zurich's central station. From there, board a train to Lausanne, traveling in the direction of Geneva. Upon arrival in Lausanne, transfer to train heading towards Brig, with a stop in Aigle. Finally, board the train to Les Diablerets.
